Taurus Constellation.

Taurus constellation is one of the most famous in the sky. You can spot it from Autumn to Winter season. It can be easily recognized, being surrounded by other constellations such as Aries, Gemini, Perseus, Orion and Auriga.
Taurus constellation is ancient and of great historical importance.

We all know that our ancestors’ primal source of subsistence was agriculture, which strictly depends on the season’s cycle.
Spring was one of the most crucial seasons since the daylight was protracted, and the time of sowing and harvesting began. This is also the Taurus season, so it is easy to relate the importance that its constellation had back then.
Moreover, the spring equinox was the day when the new year began in those years.

Taurus mythology is disparate since it was one of the most used symbols during ancient times, representing fertility and wealth.
Once again, we go back to Ancient Egypt, where its devotion was quite spread: Osiris assumed the mantle of the bull-God and was identified with the constellation itself. His sister Isis was represented with cow-horns, positioned around the disk of the Moon.

This detail recalls the bull hieroglyph too, where the Sun is drawn topped by an upward crescent moon between bull horns. Do not forget that Sun and Moon represent the union between male and female principle, which leads back to the concept of fertility associated with the bull.

There was another important deity in Anciept Egypt, Apis, son of Hathor, a sacred bull worshiped especially in the Memphis region. She played an important role since she served as “bridge” between humans and other deities.

In Greek mythology, the bull appears in several shapes: the most famous legend about it is the one about the union between Zeus and Europa.
Despite his wedding with the goddess Hera, Zeus was deeply in love with princess of Tyre, Europa. We also have to point out that the Greek God cannot be defined as the husband of the year. If you know a little bit of greek mythology, you know what I am talking about.

But back to our legend. Being so madly in love, Zeus decided to take the shape of a white bull and went to Tyre.
Europa was on the shore, gathering flowers when the white bull approached her. Zeus, the smartass, made sure that the bull appeared totally tame to her eyes, so he laid down at her feet. Europa, seeing the animal so quiet and friendly, decided to sit on his back, which was just what Zeus wanted.

Carrying Europa on his back, he went into the water and swam off into the sea, reaching Crete. Once there, Zeus finally revealed his true identity to Europa, going back to his human shape.
They consumed the fruits of their love under a cypress tree, which made the birth of three children possible: Minos (related to Taurus), Rhadamanthys, and Sarpedon.

Taurus Characteristics & Traits.

In astrology, those who were born under the sign of Taurus have a strong bond with life, and they are very grounded people. Even when driven by emotions, they stay with their feet on the ground: they are made of flesh and bones, and they are very much aware of that.

Taurus people are patient and tenacious, they will never stop fighting to reach their goals. However, they are quite known for Being slow, and for this reason, you will hardly see them doing more than one thing at a time.
Another typical trait of Taurus is the laziness, which reaches its highest level when they are ordered to do something. They will not move a muscle until they have the right motivation to get up and work.
Nevertheless, Taurus people are kind and caring: they are, in fact, one of the most loving partners of the whole Zodiac.

They prefer the day, the pragmatism and the practical things. Objects and material things have a significant meaning for them, reason why they can become a bit possessive sometimes.
We mentioned their slowness, but this is not necessarily a flaw, since it is in favour of quality and attention.
Taurus instinctively wants to take, store and maintain. They have a calm temper, very arduous to be set in motion. However, once their engines are turned on, I would like to see someone trying to stop them. Good luck!

They hardly trust other people, and they grant their friendship to a few selected ones only. But they give all of themselves to those they believe in, and they can be very generous and giving under this point of view.
Taurus are usually friendly people, they will pay attention to everyone but in a superficial way. You have to earn their full, devoted focus.

They are patient people, but when they feel attacked, they lose it easy: their anger is not easy to deal with. Be careful. The partner may try avoiding disloyalty because they would hardly forgive that, and their grudge is strong.
Taurus really appreciate steady situations: changes aren’t for them because of their rejection of the news.
In relationships, they’re usually calm but on condition that there is a strong physical attraction and, most importantly, that their partner doesn’t poke their jealousy…Taurus hate dishonesty!

These people are very often described as reckless, masculine and manly, but that is not true. We shouldn’t forget that this sign is supported by a double female polarity – Venus, that gives them sensuality, and the Moon, for passion and pleasure.

Taurus peeps have the inclination to develop colds, coughs and sore throats. Their ENT systems, as well as their digestive systems, are quite vulnerable. They LOVE food (can so relate, guys!), and a lot of movement is not a really charming activity for them, they may become tardy and overweight.

They’re very business orientated: they have a strong practical sense, and they’re hardly moved by troubles that don’t involve them.
At work, they’re patient and tenacious. They’re suited for enterprises, consultancy and all those jobs related to food.
They may develop a strong love for everything related to Mother Earth. Venus gives them a marked artistic sense: Taurus paint, carve, sing, dance and have no fear whatsoever of expressing their multifaceted talents.
In fact, it’s common to see Taurus people becoming musicians, artists, architects, chefs or even gardeners.

They’re also good at manual activities and on those activities that require particular care.
They’re naturally attracted by the concept of beauty, and they have a gift for maintenance of richness and money… absolutely yes for bank jobs! Although sometimes they may become a bit frugal in the name of savings and building a better future.
Taurus are hard-workers, hate wastes, and they adapt to humble jobs, as long as financial stability is guaranteed.

Taurus Best Matches.

Disclaimer: matches between zodiac signs are not written in stone. Remember that the compatibility between people is influenced by the placements in each chart.

Cancer. This is one of the most frequent and long-lasting couples.  If they’re sure about their feelings for each other, they have good chances to start a family. This couple is almost the perfect match because they are both signs who don’t go too far from the familiar and cosy places where the partner is. Only possible weak point could be the tendency of the Cancerian partner to be a little bit too much over the clouds, while the Taurus counterpart is grounded. Either they compensate each other, or they’ll hit on their nerves. But other than that, this couple looks like a dream came true!

Emotional plan: 5/5
Communication: 3,5/5
Sexual plan: 5/5
Affinity: 4,5/5

Capricorn. Both Earth signs that are always looking for building something: that’s why this relationship starts with a solid foundation.  Taurus people often believe that a great love story can’t work when solid economic foundations aren’t there. Capricorn is the same. In fact, both must work and have financially secure, or arguments would be on their daily routine. Capricorn usually agrees with these conditions. Taurus will be the most passionate and sensual in the couple. Capricorn, be careful: don’t be too cynical, or your partner may get tired of you!

Pisces. these two signs, despite the appearance, they’re quite similar under many different point of views. They’re both chill and lovers of peace and harmony, which would help to build a solid and loving relationship. Although, as it happens with a Cancer partner, Pisces can be a bit too much “on the clouds”, while Taurus is way more grounded. But after all, you don’t need to be similar all around: differences sometimes makes a couple even stronger because they teach to accept each others’ flaws and find balance. So, overall, not a bad match at all!
